Don’t forget – the countdown has begun! Beginning May 2, 2023, passengers 18 and older will need a state-issued compliant REAL ID (aka star ID) – or another acceptable form of ID at airport checkpoints.

What other types of ID qualifies?

• U.S. passport
• U.S. passport card
• DHS trusted traveler cards (Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST)
• U.S. Department of Defense ID, including IDs issued to dependents
• Permanent resident card
• Border crossing card

As of June 12, 2022, the CDC will no longer require air passengers traveling from a foreign country to the United States to show a negative COVID-19 viral test or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 before they board their flight.                                                   

Monkeypox update

Monkeypox symptoms usually start within 3 weeks of exposure to the virus. If someone has flu-like symptoms, they will usually develop a rash 1-4 days later.

Monkeypox can be spread from the time symptoms start until the rash has healed, all scabs have fallen off, and a fresh layer of skin has formed. The illness typically lasts 2-4 weeks.

Avoid close contact, wear a mask, and visit your health provider if you have any symptoms.
