Celebrating Earth Day and our springtime slack season

Spring has arrived and in our neck of the woods this equates to slack season. Here are some ideas for getting out, staying active, and enjoying a little more extra daylight this time of year. 

For the kiddos:

This time of year the weather is unpredictable. If you have younger kids needing to burn off some energy, consider a day pass at the YMCA. Please visit their site for scheduling a time as wells as protocols, requirements and for scheduled events and camps: https://www.woodriverymca.org/

Arbor Day is April 30. Visit www.idahoforests.org for great ideas and activities surrounding this day. Order a free seedling and plant a tree. Sun Valley Film Festival

Like many annual events, The Sun Valley Film Festival is looking forward to being back in full swing next year. For the bigger kids:

Whereas the snowy slopes of Sun Valley have an opening day, the golfing greens just patiently wait for the snow to melt away, and the golfers to reappear with the sunnier days. This gradual emergence typically takes place at the end of April/early May. All courses are a great way to play a little putt-putt, practice your swing or take in a full day.
