Whether you’re ready or not, the 4th of July is quickly approaching! This month, we’re featuring Hailey, Idaho in our summer turn series. Hailey offers spectacular, family-friendly events during the “Hailey Days of the Old West.”

Home to quintessential celebrations, Hailey is the place to be on the 4th of July. Each year, “Hailey Days of the Old West” hosts the Sawtooth Rangers Rodeo, a one-of-a-kind parade on Main Street; don’t miss out on the colorful floats and beautiful horses. Throughout the day, you can also expect a hearty pancake breakfast, live music throughout town, antique markets, a marvelous fireworks display, and finally, the Wood River Land Trust Draper Preserve “RiverFest.”

For the rest of July, we encourage you to get outside and enjoy the beauty of the Wood River Valley! Jump start your mornings with a hike up Carbonate Mountain, followed by coffee and a pastry at one of the local coffee shops. Otherwise, hit the Big Wood River with your fly rod (insider information — the fish are plentiful this year!). If you’re more of a biker, check out a few of the Croy Canyon trails, or enjoy the scenic views of the Wood River Valley bike path. With the trail spanning north of Ketchum and south of Bellevue, the bike path is a wonderful asset to the Valley.

For other events taking place in Hailey, we encourage you to visit the events calendar on the Wood River Chambers’ website!
