Holiday travel doesn’t have to be hurried if you allow for adequate time at the airport. One quick way to help better anticipate wait times at your favorite airport, as well as those through which you’ll connect, is the MyTSA app from our good friends at the Transportation Security Administration.
Along with TSA security checkpoint wait times, MyTSA also has the latest and most complete list of items permitted to travel with you-all in alphabetical order. You can even help fellow travelers by reporting your wait time within the app’s Checkpoint Wait Time section. The app will also tell you how busy an airport is likely to be on any given day, based on historical data.

The app has data and information for most U.S. airports, including many regional airports. While SUN is not on the list yet, we’ve asked that they add us to their next upgrade.
